Overview: Roosevelt Expressway (I-876, US 1)

Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia remains one of the most controversial streets in Philadelphia, serving as one the cities busiest and one the cities most important. Converting it into a full expressway may help alleivate the problems.

Lincoln Highway to I-276
Beginning in Morrisville, the road currently known as Lincoln Highway, in its present form, would need to undergo some upgrades. Road should be widened in some places if possible, though this feet would be unlikely.

I-276 Onward
Between I-276 and Holme Ave, Roosevelt Expressway would be at level with elevated overpasses in some places.
South of Holme Ave, Roosevelt Boulevard's main roadway would mostly be converted into a Depressed Freeway, with a cap ultimately going over the areas. A bus lane, along with parkland would be above it, with the surface road being two lanes in each direction, with a bus lane, whereas the main expressway, would be six lanes. Some portions of the road may need to be moved in order to create a more even aligned. All Bus lanes would be moved closer to the Service Road.

South of Broad Street, Along the currently converted alignments, improvements would be made and exit numbers would be properly assinged.
